The Community Missions
of the Niagara Frontier 

Team Mission Possible Niagara:
The Community Missions generously lends a hand to people in our community, providing access to basic needs and life changing services. Our mission is to provide a helping hand and aid them in fulfilling basic needs of their own.
Team Goal:
  • Exterior paint and repair, including window frame and improvement to wooden structures at Hope House
  • Interior paint and repair at the Niagara Falls facility
Team Needs:
  • Volunteers 
  • Donations of paint, tools, or gift cards

Lockport Cares

Team MVP:
Lockport Cares provides refuge and emergency shelter to the homeless. The two homes they operate in order to provide those less fortunate with the basic need of shelter are in need of TLC. They will need at least 40 new volunteers in order to reopen and manage their second house by May 2019
Team Goals:
  • Plumbing repairs to two bathrooms
  • Installation of a half bath for children
  • Exterior and interior paint and repairs
  • Expansion of their volunteer database
  • 30 sec. TV campaign or exposure to increase awareness
Team Needs:
  • Plumbing/contractor recommendations
  • Unique and successful fundraising ideas
  • Contacts, insight or assistance with TV campaigns
  • Volunteers

The Service Collaborative of WNY

Team Dream On:

All children deserve a place to dream. About their future, what they want to be when they're older, how to impact the world.  For hundreds of children, simply having a bed of their own or a bed at all, is a dream. 

The Goal: 

  • Build and distribute 150 beds 
The Needs:
  • Find 90 volunteers willing to provide 3 hrs. of their time (no experience required)
  • New bedding, gift cards and donations are appreciated

Art Services Initiative of WNY

ASI serves five counties in WNY as the leading local arts council. Providing support and services to artists and cultural organizations. The investment into making our community beautiful, requires support from our community.
The Goal:
  • Focus on creating a sponsorship and membership program
  • Drafting marketing materials to promote the program
  • Raise awareness of the organization and local arts
The Needs:
  • Ideas and recommendations based on successful sponsorship/membership programs

YWCA Niagara
Carolyn's House

Team Yard Crashers:
The YWCA's values of education and empowerment can change the course of hopelessness in women who have experienced rape and domestic abuse. The services they provide give women and children a sense of community and the tools they need to start over for a better life.
The Goal:
Transform the backyard space to be more conducive to families by creating a patio, a sandbox, leveling the yard, and planting raised gardens by August 3, 2018
The Needs:
  • Financial support for landscaping supplies and materials
  • Tree service expertise to assist in tree removal/tree trimming
  • Landscaping advice on how to build out unusually sloped yard

NU South End Housing Initiative

Having the tools to beautify your neighborhood even if you don't have a big budget. This is an important step towards creating a community that people want to be apart of and care to maintain. 
The Goal:
The Levesque Institute aspires to create a tool lending program in a secured building for the "South End Niagara Falls" neighborhood with LN's help.  
The Need: 
  • Tools used for home repairs and landscaping
  • Lighting equipment for the building
  • Shelving for the tools 
  • Guidance from someone with experience coordinating similar concept programs or familiarity with tool lending programs

Family & Children Services of Niagara 

Team Casey House:

Casey house is a short-term emergency shelter for runaway, homeless, and ‘at-risk’ youth ages 12 to 17. Casey House provides a safe environment for kids who for many reasons are not able to go home after school or find themselves in unsafe situations at home.

The Goal:

Create a fun, inviting and peaceful outdoor space for the teen residents. A Facebook Page, Donation Page and other printed materials will hopefully create awareness for our project.

The Needs:

  • Volunteers to help implement the project
  • Donation Wish List includes: patio furniture, solar lights, planter boxes, topsoil, patio pavers, outdoor games, perennials, tableware and other decor.
